"Broken Dreams" is a self-portrait created through a layered process that combines photography, hand texturing, and image transfer onto handmade cotton paper.
The use of handmade cotton paper is central. It is imperfect, tactile, and alive, carrying memory through its very fibers. By transferring the image into this surface, body and material become inseparable; the portrait is no only a depiction, but a merging of form, medium, and story.
