ABOUT JACINTA TOMYN

ARTIST - PHOTOGRAPHER - MODEL

Portrait of Fine Art Photographer Jacinta Tomyn

Jacinta Tomyn challenges the boundaries of what it means in both roles as a female photographer and muse exploring the beauty of the human form and the taboos of sensuality and eroticism, while challenging the meaning and relevance of the nude as an artform.

Working primarily in black and white, Jacinta’s imagery is rich with contrast - visually and emotionally. Each frame is guided by an introspective dialogue between artist and self, viewer and viewed. Vulnerability becomes strength. Stillness becomes narrative.

Each body of work serves as a transformative chapter in personal evolution, where raw, intimate compositions invite viewers to reflect on their own perspectives and life experiences.

Jacinta has achieved international recognition, being awarded second place in the MonoVisions Photography Awards (Nudes Category) and receiving Honourable Mentions in several International Photography Awards, and finalist placements in major Australian art prizes including the Percival Photography Prize. Her imagery has been featured in respected print and online publications worldwide.

Outside of her personal practice, Jacinta offers transformative client photography experiences. By cultivating an empowering experience, she captures each subject’s unique narrative, uncovering an authentic representation and exploration of self.

In addition to her photographic work, Jacinta contributes to the artistic community by creating high-quality reference eBooks for artists. These collections serve as valuable tools for painters, illustrators, and sculptors, offering expressive and emotive studies of the human form. Through these resources, she supports fellow creatives in their practice, fostering a deeper appreciation for the body as a vessel of artistic expression.
